After arriving in the Netherlands in 2018, Mohamed quickly realized that finding a job was not easy. t wasn’t due to lack of experience; with over ten years of experience as an operational manager at Emirates Airline, he was accustomed to working with over 70 different nationalities. Additionally, he had gained experience in customer service and logistics.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, Mohamed is not one to be easily discouraged He saw an opportunity in the Egyptian agricultural market and started a general partnership (VOF) in 2019, acting as an intermediary for fresh fruit from Egypt to Western Europe. In the three years that the VOF was active, he achieved success in importing and exporting fruit, particularly strawberries. Four years later, he has built a solid network and gained a reputation as an honest professional who conducts business in a transparent manner.<\/p>\n

This success fueled bigger dreams. In 2022, Mohamed started Uniproducers with a small team. It’s a serious business with the potential to create an even larger network of producers and customers. Currently, Uniproducers offers a wide range of soft and frozen fruits. The past four years have shown that there are still many opportunities for growers in the Middle East and for collaboration with Europe.<\/p>\n

What we Aim to Achieve<\/h2>\n

Farming in the Middle East and Africa is becoming increasingly challenging. High agricultural costs and limited incomes mean that there is little investment in the industry. We want to do our part to address this issue. We achieve this through collaboration, which results in knowledge sharing, process optimization, clear communication, and fair and prompt payment.<\/p>\n

Farmers come together to work with us, creating a collective approach to entrepreneurship. This marks a significant shift from the current way of operating. From individual farmers to a collective working together for a better agricultural industry for all.<\/p>\n

We are aware of the industry’s reputation for doing business in and with the Middle East and Africa, specifically Egypt. We aim to bring about a positive change there as well. Collective collaboration contributes to this goal.
